R360 Canada, an affiliate of Waste Connections, offers a variety of services to clients in the energy, environmental and industrial sectors. These services are delivered via our network of facilities, along with our specialized equipment and assets. We are equipped to process, recover, recycle and dispose of waste and other materials safely and cost-effectively for our customers.
We are currently looking for a Site Manager for our La Glace TRD, this role will work 5 days a week being Monday-Friday. The successful candidate for this role will have to take a pre-employment test which includes drug and alcohol testing, as well as a criminal background check.
Job Purpose
The Site Manager sets the culture and leads the operational team in a healthy, safe and environmentally responsible manner, aligned with the corporate vision, mission and values. The role is responsible for all aspects of running a successful business including health and safety, regulatory compliance, sales, operations, finance (including capital planning), human resources and support services.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
The responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:
• Fostering an environment that promotes the vision and culture of the organization
• Leading the safety culture, specifically aiding in the development and delivery of programs and initiatives to personnel and enforcing safety policies
• Ensuring consistent and cost-effective operations
• Managing operations, administrative and regulatory staff including conducting annual reviews, competency assessment, skill development, performance management, etc.
• Developing and enforcing standard operating procedures, providing training and monitoring staff for compliance
• Ensuring compliance with all government and environmental regulatory standards
• Budget development, active revenue and cost forecasting/tracking
• Ensuring excellent customer service standards in coordination with Field Sales team
• Evaluating Key Performance Indicators to achieve targets and determine required actions for improvement
• Collaborating with other Facility Managers and General Managers to share and implement best practices
Qualifications/Competencies
The individual in this role will have:
• Grade 12 or General Education Diploma (GED) education
• A valid Class 5 driver’s license
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in one or more of the following; waste processing, oil treating and/or water injection
• A minimum of 2-5 years leadership experience in management or supervisory position
• Valid industry safety tickets
• Strong attention to detail and ability to provide leadership to staff
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to prepare technical reports
• Proficient with Microsoft office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
