Whatever your skills and experience, we’ll help you to thrive in our inclusive culture. **About the role** As the Site Operations Manager at the iconic Brora Distillery, you’ll be central to the next chapter of our site’s 200-plus year history, overseeing all distilling operations, ensuring they are completed safely and efficiently. The Site Operations Manager will take the lead role in ensuring that all aspects of site operations are set-up to be able to deliver our world-class performance aspirations across a suite of Safety, Compliance, Environmental, Quality, Service and Cost metrics. You’ll lead the Daily Operational and participate in Weekly Team meetings to provide experienced analysis of performance improvement opportunities. This will require excellent communication, influencing and interpersonal skills in order to encourage your team to deliver outstanding performance. Alongside managing day-to-day operations, you’ll create and own the vision for the site. As an inspiring leader you’ll drive a strong safety culture whilst engaging with the strategy to maintain quality and improve performance. You’ll spend a lot of the time inspiring others and bringing about change while keeping employees engaged with the strategic changes to improve performance. You’ll provide mentorship, advice and support to multidisciplinary teams (Business Leaders, Operators, Maintenance Technicians etc.) on trouble shooting tools and Manufacturing Excellence practices. You’ll support your team and peers through coaching, helping you deliver results through others. In this role you’ll sit as part of the Leadership Team for the Brora & Clynelish Group, supporting the development and delivery of the Group’s broader strategy. You’ll provide on-call and duty manager support on a rota basis. Brora Distillery is also a Luxury Brand Home, host to private clients and visitors from around the world. In your capacity as Site Operations Manager, and as a passionate advocate for Whisky, you’ll work closely with the Brand Home Host to bring to life the craft that goes into making the legendary spirit of Brora. You’ll meet and engage with VIP clients on tours, talking them through the production journey and sharing with them what makes Brora so special, for example by guiding them through nosing sessions or showcasing the care and attention that went into the reopening of the site. As such, you’ll enjoy a key role in continuing to build this iconic brand. **About You** + You will be a true leader and role model. With a relevant background in operations management in a high-qualityprocess industry with demanding production, efficiency and financial targets. + You’ll have the ability to inspire your team through purpose to deliver excellence across a suite of KPIs. + We are looking for a highly skilled operational leader who has a consistent track record of driving team engagement and delivering continuous improvementthrough the guide application of Lean Manufacturing tools and techniques. + You will be a role model for safety leadership, with a good understanding of health, safety and environmental requirements for production areas, ideally holding a NEBOSH qualification. + You’ll be determined to play a lead role in the site’s contribution to the delivery of Diageo’s Society 2030 ambitions including supporting the global sustainability agenda among other vitalgoals. + You’ll be a great communicator and comfortable public speaker. + You’ll be passionate about sustainability and owing critical targets around water usage and carbon emissions.
