About the role
Reporting to the Operational Excellence & Regional Wineries Manager, this role will ensure the NZ portfolio of wines are consistent with TWE Product Strategy and meet quality, financial and market expectations.
In addition, it will also be responsible for the optimisation of the Matua Winery to TWE ANZ business objectives. These operations objectives include maximising safety, quality, efficiency and achieving budget requirements.
+ Lead the development and implementation of product strategy including blend structure, AORs, quality and cost
+ Work with Regional management and winemaking to balance optimization of Winery network vintage delivery plan
+ Build and operate annual operating budgets delivering best practice cost management.
+ Rigorous delivery of technical programming to support all winemaking process work flows.
+ Identify, develop and implement technical improvement opportunities across all winery functions
About you
With proven experience within a Senior Winemaking role or Operations Management experience within a wine, beverage and manufacturing environment, you will have well rounded leadership and business planning skills.
+ Tertiary qualifications in a Science or Commerce related field
+ Extensive winemaking experience, including time in senior roles
+ Proven ability to set wine style and quality direction
+ Excellent communication skills
+ Leadership experience in a manufacturing/production site
Candidates with experience as lead winemakers and operations managers are preferred, however highly experienced operations managers in the wine, beverage and manufacturing industry are strongly encouraged to apply for this position
