Site Name: USA - Massachusetts - Cambridge Posted Date: Feb 14 2025 Location: Cambridge Binney Street Job Description Accountable for all sourcing and contract management for multiple categories (R&D, Directs, Capital, Tech), supporting the business across the Binney Street and Cambridge Park Drive sites. This will include the development and implementation of regional category strategies; the contracting for master/service/product agreements within the categories and identification of appropriate buying channels; the management of supplier relationships that fall within scope and outside of the enterprise SRM structure for this category and for ensuring the suppliers key to the category commit to deliver GSK’s performance/quality/financial requirements. Key Responsibilities: Complex sourcing and category management role in GSK Key role in Strategy Development Contract planning, negotiation, execution, interpretation, and maintenance; manages / monitors ongoing negotiations with 3rd parties Will work across multiple countries requiring high cultural awareness Champions the sourcing group management process and policies across functions and links these to GSK's strategic direction Knows and utilizes complex business processes in all GSK supplier transactions, including all risk/regulatory/compliance requirements Implements and supports procurement strategies to maximize supplier leverage Significant external supplier knowledge Manage the end-to-end process to challenge sourcing approach and scope of the business requirements. Challenge and drive continuous improvements with in-house Vs third party Vs outsourcing approach. Manage category strategies and collaborate where there are synergies with other global procurement groups and/or categories Direct & Sites, Lab Services, Lab Equipment, Capital & Logistics, Tech, etc. Why you? Basic Qualifications: Bachelor Degree or equivalent experience (Procurement, Supply Chain, Engineering, Finance, logistics) 3+ years of operational Procurement experience across multiple categories of spend and some experience of regulated environments 3+ years Procurement tools such as sourcing, quotation analysis, contract negotiation, supplier review, supplier development 3+ years’ experience on Risk management Essential Skills and Abilities: Preferred: Experience working in a matrix business environment Proven negotiations and contract management skills.
