Site Procurement Specialist

Job Summary

As a Procurement Specialist, the incumbent will be responsible for implementation of procurement strategies, working with site personnel to create requisitions and resolve PO/invoicing issues with supply vendors. The Procurement Specialist will function as material sourcing specialist, assisting with established vendor relationships across all procurement areas, which include raw, operating, and maintenance materials. Responsibilities include Communication of Purchase Order status with suppliers, requestors, and approvers, from creation through payment, as well as tracking weekly procure to pay report and other relative KPI’s.

Responsibilities/Description:

Perform as primary sourcing specialist for procurement of maintenance materials and suppliesPerform as secondary sourcing specialist for procurement of operating supplies and raw materialsEstablish relationships with all service providers for all materialsCreate and track requisitions through completionPerform backup accounting functions for department Conform to plant safety and environmental requirements, accepting responsibility for personal safetyWork in, and comply with, cGMP guidelinesAbility to work in a team environment and communication with other employees using multiple methods of communicationUnderstand and participate in operations and supply chain team initiatives.Maintain a high degree of motivation by being flexible, displaying good leadership, and being able to prioritize and make informed decisions to meet business requirements


Requirements:

2+ years of relevant experience/education in industrial plant procurement systems and accounting processesExperience with Microsoft OfficeWilling and able to wear required PPE (personal protective equipment) such as steel toes, hardhat, Nomex® clothing, and protective eyewearWilling and able to: lift or move up to 50 lbs.; climb stairs, ladders, and columns; stand, walk, stoop, bend, kneel, crawl, utilize visual acuity, reach overhead, hear and respond to alarmsWilling and able to work both indoors and outdoors in hot, cold, wet, and dry conditionsWilling and able to work around hazardous materials

Preferred Requirements:

Bachelor of Science in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering from accredited institutionExperience with SAP procurement processes and accounting functionsExperience working in cGMP facility
