Howden South Africa is currently looking for an experienced Site Quality Inspector to effectively monitor quality standard compliance for the Business Unit at various Customer Sites and Suppliers.
 

What Your Day-to-Day Activities Will Be…

•    Conduct QC inspections at various Customers to ensure work done in accordance to Clients Contract Scope of Work & Howden’s standards & Quality Control Plans. Produce QC reports according to procedure, accurate and on time.
•    Conduct first-line inspections on OEM equipment to assess damage, wear and tear. The result is an accurate report for the Site Manager.
•    Conduct periodical QC audits & surveillances on maintenance sites (planned/surprise visits). The result is an accurate report to the QA Manager. Conduct follow-up inspections if required.
•    Responsible for service department quality procedures, standard instruction manual , QCP documents and drawing data base
•    Responsible for service departments NCR process and follow-up and to give feedback to customers and Service department management on corrective actions.
•    Responsible for QC audits on all service department sites to ensure we comply with our internal and customers quality requirements
•    Responsible for HES in QC department 
 

Your Education Should Be…

•    Grade 12 or N3
•    Qualified Artisan (Boilermaker/Welder/Fitter and Turner) with 5 years’ experience within an engineering/ manufacturing environment.
•    The candidate should have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in power station draught plants
•    Welding & Fabrications inspector Level 1 & 2 & understanding of Various NDT methods & procedures
•    ISO 9000 Quality Management systems training
•    Must be computer literate
•    Internal Auditor qualification will be an added advantage
