**DESCRIPTION** The Site Quality Leader plays a pivotal role in building a high-performing team and leading daily operations that align with the site’s quality assurance standards. This position involves managing plant quality systems, fostering strong customer and supplier relationships, overseeing new part/product development, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to achieve operational excellence. **Job Title: Site Quality Leader** **Job Summary:** The Site Quality Leader plays a pivotal role in building a high-performing team and leading daily operations that align with the site’s quality assurance standards. This position involves managing plant quality systems, fostering strong customer and supplier relationships, overseeing new part/product development, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to achieve operational excellence. **Key Responsibilities:** + **Quality System Management** : Lead and maintain the plant quality system, ensuring quality assurance expectations, methods, and processes meet industry standards and site goals. + **Customer and Supplier Engagement** : Build strong customer relationships to address quality issues and manage supplier performance through structured reviews and collaborations. + **New Product Development** : Establish processes for part and product development, PPAP approvals, and supplier performance monitoring, ensuring a robust supplier base. + **Internal Stakeholder Management** : Cultivate effective communication with intercompany and domestic engineering and quality teams to address product development and improvement initiatives. + **Team Development** : Create and lead an agile quality function, promoting a culture of continuous growth and improvement within the team. + **System Development** : Develop sustainable systems and processes using Quality tools, Six Sigma, and quality management principles. + **Quality Project Leadership** : Set priorities, organize resources, and oversee quality projects, including Right First Time (RFT) improvements and cost-of-poor-quality reduction initiatives. + **Continuous Improvement Initiatives** : Implement industry-proven methodologies such as lean manufacturing, 7-step problem solving, and Intelligent Quality Tools and Methods (IQTM). + **Advanced Quality Standards** : Ensure compliance with standards like IATF, APQP, and PPAP documentation, and manage Value Package Introduction (VPI) quality planning. + **Digital Quality Leadership** : Drive Quality 4.0 initiatives, using digital tools and cloud-based systems to enhance quality management and customer satisfaction. + **Environmental Responsibility** : Identify opportunities in products and processes to reduce greenhouse emissions in support of company sustainability goals. **RESPONSIBILITIES** **Experience:** + A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in a Manufacturing, Engineering, or Program Management role within the automotive or a similarly regulated industry. + At least 3 years of managerial experience, with a demonstrated track record of leading quality initiatives and teams. **Competencies:** + **Customer Focus** : Demonstrates a commitment to understanding customer needs and delivering effective solutions. + **Supplier Management** : Collaborates with sourcing, engineering, and supplier development teams to drive supplier improvements and performance. + **Advanced Product Quality Planning** : Applies structured and measurable processes to meet industry standards and ensure customer satisfaction. + **Problem Solving** : Skilled in systematic analysis, root cause identification, and data-driven solutions. + **Project Resource Management** : Efficiently allocates resources using project management tools to support site objectives. + **Quality Process and System Management** : Proficient in APQP, FMEA, PPAP, SPC, and other quality tools to ensure robust quality processes. + **Statistical Foundations** : Utilizes statistical tools to support decision-making and drive process improvements. + **Manufacturing Knowledge** : Demonstrates understanding of manufacturing processes and implements improvements aligned with business needs. + **Quality Influence and Change Management** : Recognizes stakeholder perspectives and promotes quality priorities, acting as a change agent. + **Talent Development** : Attracts and nurtures talent, fostering a growth-oriented and high-performing team culture. + **Quality 4.0 Leadership** : Knowledge in Quality 4.0 practices, including digital twin, simulation, and adaptive intelligence, to drive digital transformation in quality management. + **Values Diversity** : Understands and leverages diverse perspectives and backgrounds for organizational success. **QUALIFICATIONS** **Qualifications:** + Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent experience is required. + Relevant certifications in quality management, Six Sigma, or related disciplines are advantageous. + This position may require licensing for export control or sanctions compliance. **Job** Quality **Organization** Cummins Inc. **Role Category** On-site **Job Type** Exempt - Experienced **ReqID** 2405992 **Relocation Package** Yes
