The anticipated salary range for this role is between $88,000.00 and $105,000.00. The specific salary offered to an applicant will be based on their individual qualifications, experiences, and an analysis of the current compensation paid in their geography and the market for similar roles at the time of hire. Role DescriptionThe Nikko SRE team is dedicated to building cloud infrastructure for in-house financial business applications. The team aims to provide a reliable and scalable infrastructure using the latest cloud technologies. Their main role is to maximize system availability and performance and ensure security. The Nikko SRE team also drives infrastructure automation and efficiency, working closely with the application development team to ensure rapid deployment and operations. Their efforts ensure that the financial business applications are running reliably and have the foundation in place to support the growth of the business.
Responsible for designing, building, and maintaining cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines for applications, leveraging Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to ensure repeatable infrastructure provisioning and system-wide redundancy. Gather requirements from application teams and use them to create technical specifications for cloud infrastructure and automated deployment processes. Documents the process for building the infrastructure and CI/CD pipeline and updates as needed. The role will also monitor, troubleshoot, and implement necessary modifications to ensure the stability and performance of the cloud environment.
Role Objectives Develop cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines to meet the needs of the application and build an efficient, scalable, and redundant infrastructure by implementing Infrastructure as Code. Build infrastructure automation and CI/CD pipelines to meet project goals. Create technical specifications and document the procedures and settings required to build the infrastructure and automation processes. Regularly monitor the performance of the infrastructure and pipeline to identify bottlenecks and areas in need of improvement and optimization. The role will also ensure proper management and updating of the code repository and configuration files to continuously improve the CI/CD pipeline. Work closely with the application team and other stakeholders to understand their requirements and needs for the cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipeline. Collaborate with support and other technical teams to resolve infrastructure and deployment-related issues that impact application behavior and performance. Work with other development teams as needed to ensure smooth integration of infrastructure and applications. Participate in regular team meetings to review priorities and goals for infrastructure and CI/CD pipeline development, assign tasks, and share experiences and challenges within the team. Qualifications and Skills Demonstrate knowledge of cloud platforms, networks, security, data management, and deployment tools required to design and operate cloud infrastructure and build and manage CI/CD pipelines Infrastructure as Code (IaC) Demonstrates proficiency in the necessary programming languages (e.g., Python, Bash, etc.) and the ability to code automated scripts and infrastructure configurations to automate infrastructure and ensure repeatability and redundancy. Efficiently build and change manage cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines based on Agile, Scrum, DevOps, and other development methodologies. Demonstrate understanding of application requirements and design and recommend the best cloud solution and deployment process.
