Your Impact
As an Entry-Level Software Engineer on the Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) team, you will help develop tools and automation to improve the reliability and efficiency of Duo's SaaS platform. You will work closely with senior engineers to enhance the deployment, monitoring, and scaling of infrastructure and services.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to grow their career in DevOps, SRE, and cloud infrastructure while working in a supportive and learning-focused environment.Collaborate with experienced engineers to develop automation solutions that enhance system reliability and efficiency.Assist in building tools to streamline software deployment and operational workflows.Participate in monitoring and troubleshooting infrastructure issues, learning best practices in incident management.Gain experience in cloud technologies (AWS, GCP, or Azure), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and automation frameworks.Contribute to maintaining a high-quality, high-availability SaaS environment.What We’re Looking For (Minimum Qualifications)
1-2 years of experience in software development, DevOps, or a related field (internships or personal projects count!).Basic programming experience in Python, Go, or another scripting language.Interest in automation, cloud infrastructure, and system reliability.Understanding of software testing practices and writing maintainable, testable code.Strong collaboration and communication skills—teamwork is key!Preferred Requirements:
Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible).Familiarity with cloud services (AWS, GCP, or Azure).Basic understanding of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, Helm).Exposure to monitoring and alerting tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog).Interest in learning and implementing best practices for DevOps and SRE.#WeAreCisco (This is the Standard and cannot be changed)
