Job description

What you'll be doing:

 

Corporate Governance and Stakeholder Management

Design and develop a sound compliance plan in collaboration with various stakeholders. Regular monitoring and review current compliance activities of the site. Provide support and guidance to internal clients on regulatory and compliance issues. Ensure company processes and procedures are in line with all applicable regulations. Conduct continuous audit, gap analysis and risk assessment on the corporate governance requirements of regulators and the compliance of the company including comparison and integration of best practices. Evaluate business activities to assess compliance risk. Set plans to manage a crisis or compliance violation. Liaise effectively with regulators, law enforcement and government institutions. Coordinate with the external lawyers, WH Group Legal, board of directors and stakeholders on corporate, legal and regulatory requirements. Address concerns or questions on legal compliance. Keep abreast of internal standards and business goals.

AMLC Compliance

Ensure the implementation of the AML program of the company. Maintain, amend and update the MTPP, IRA and other manuals for compliance as required by the AMLC. Ensure compliance by the officers, employees and stakeholders with the provision of the anti-money laundering law.

Data Privacy Officer

Analyze and check the compliance processing activities, including security clearances to and compliance by third-party service providers. Ensure the conduct of Privacy Impact Assessments relative to activities, measures, projects and programs. Serve as a contact person for the internal stakeholders, the National Privacy Commission (NPC) and other authorities concerning data privacy or security issues or concerns. Coordinate with various stakeholders in monitoring the compliance requirement of the Data Privacy Act and other issuances by the NPC.

Regulatory requirements

Liaise effectively with regulators, law enforcement, business partners and other stakeholders. Act as a point of contact for compliance regulators such as, but not limited to, PEZA, AMLC, PAGCOR, NTC, SEC and Local Government.

Business Continuity Planning (BCP) Officer

Oversee and ensure the company’s Business Continuity Plan is up-to-date and functional. Develop and implement strategies to mitigate risks and maintain operational continuity in the event of a crisis.

Advanced Reporting

Utilize advanced reporting tools such as MS Excel, Power BI, and other relevant systems to generate and analyze compliance and operational reports.

Adhoc Functions:

Review policies, procedures, forms and training that would require compliance adherence. Educate and train colleagues and stakeholders on regulations and industry practices notably on, but not limited to, the Data Privacy Act and Anti-money laundering, compliance adherence. What We’re Looking For:

 

Education

Graduate of any Bachelor of Science or Arts in Law, Legal Management, Finance, Business Administration or any related field. Professional certification is a plus.

 

Experience

At least 5 years proven experience as a Compliance Officer or with a similar role Familiarity with industry practices and government requirements Knowledge of legal requirements and controls (e.g. Anti-money laundering or AML, data privacy and information security)

 

Requirements

Proficiency in MS Office, particularly advanced reporting tools (Excel, Power BI, etc.). Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to set priorities, take personal responsibility, and communicate issues effectively. High level of integrity and professional ethics. Proactive, determined, and able to take ownership of the role. Ability to handle pressure and meet deadlines. Attention to detail. Collaborative team player with the ability to foster a cooperative work environment.
