**What does the position do?**
+ Responsible for the daily enforcement of all established safety programs, regulations, and safe work practices.
+ Provide instructions to workers on safe work procedures, safety regulations, and emergency plans.
+ Provide support and administrative assistance on project specific Accident Prevention Plan (APP).
+ Investigate incidents promptly to identify underlying causes. Complete necessary documents and report to Safety Director.
+ Perform regular on-site hazard assessments to identify unsafe work practices and hazards. Provide recommendations to eliminate issues and ensure corrective action is taken.
+ Conduct routine equipment inspections.
+ Assist in performing compliance audits and implement follow-up corrective actions to ensure compliance with Occupational Health & Safety and Safety Policy.
+ Ensure daily and weekly safety meetings are performed and documented for all site employees and subcontractors.
+ Provide weekly safety reports to the Safety Director.
+ Keep up with current knowledge of safety literature, regulations and codes or practice.
+ Performs other duties as are appropriate and as assigned.
**What will top candidates bring to the table?**
+ Construction Health & Safety Technician (CHST) certification
+ Minimum of 5 years of construction industry safety experience
+ At least 24 hours of formal safety training each year for the past 5 years
+ 30-Hour OSHA (Construction or General Industry)
+ Knowledgeable in EM385-1-1
