Job Description

PCI is seeking a Safety Representative for its Chicago operations based in New Carlisle, IN. This individual will be responsible for the following duties:

Promote safety, safe work practices and behaviors to instill an injury-free culture throughout all site and field personnel.Assist branch / site with the implementation and administration of the company’s accident prevention plan, policies and procedures. Including safety resources such as training, expertise and guidance.Represent PCI and participate in Safety Committee activitiesAssist in identifying, correcting, and mitigating routine and non-routine safety and health hazards.Ensure company and client safety reports and documentation are submitted timely and in accordance with client requirements and expectations.Council and coach workers to gain compliance with the accident prevention plans, policies and procedures.Identify, evaluate, and mitigate potential safety health hazards.Conduct job site inspections and periodic audits to establish and evaluate the level of compliance.Responsible for investigation and evaluation of injuries and illnesses for the project site.Convey a professional and positive attitude as the safety representative of plant site and corporation.Evaluate and approve safety equipment and personal protective equipment (PPE).

This position is safety-sensitive.

Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

Minimum 2 years experience in a construction safety related field.Must be at least 18 years old.Prolonged periods standing and working outside.Physically able to perform assigned tasks.Must be able to lift 40 pounds at a time. Local to the areaOSHA 30
