Position Summary: The Site Services Engineering Manager is a pivotal role responsible for overseeing the engineering and management of site services systems, including utilities, infrastructure, and facility operations. You will proactively manage all facilities and maintenance requirements at the site. Support the Head of Facilities with the management and site maintenance work at a designated Distribution Centre (DC) and to support on network projects and strategy. Responsibilities: Facilities and Maintenance Management: Ensure compliance with health, safety, and legal standards across all facilities. Keep maintenance records and statutory certification audit ready and act on audit findings swiftly. Ensure robust work order management and compliance through the CAFM system. Oversee refrigeration, utilities, and environmental controls; manage proactive maintenance schedules. Quickly address repairs to minimise downtime and keep operations running smoothly. Develop emergency plans and manage risk systems. Prepare and control budgets, ensuring efficient cost management. Supervise contractors for safe, compliant, and timely work completion. Collaborate with operations on site requirements, oversee CAPEX projects, and represent facilities in management meetings. People Management: Ensure team compliance with Health and Safety standards. Lead by example in line with company values, fostering open communication and team commitment. Assess and train team members to ensure effective, safe performance. Promote site efficiency through continuous improvement and proactive performance management. Support team development with coaching, and handle employee relations issues as needed. Qualifications Technical competencies Skilled in Microsoft Office, with strong numerical abilities. 2+ years in a similar role, with electrical, mechanical, or FM qualifications (essential Health & Safety certified (IOSH/NEBOSH - Desirable Proven experience of leading a team Calm and precise under pressure Exceptional eye for detail Strong background in maintenance systems and managing complex supply chains.
