Site Services Supervisor

 

Position Description:

The Site Services Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the efficient, safe, and effective execution of surface operations at the mine site. This includes supervising site services and belt cleaning teams, managing road and snow maintenance, and fostering a culture of safety, environmental stewardship, and continuous improvement.

 

 

Responsibilities:

Supervise the surface road crew and belt cleaning crew, ensuring performance, safety, and adherence to protocols. Oversee the maintenance of site roads, including grading, repairs, and snow removal. Manage the cleaning of conveyor belt corridors and general site support activities. Coordinate tasks such as waste management and site upkeep. Provide coaching, mentoring, and feedback to enhance team performance. Ensure effective shift handovers and communication within the team. Ensure alignment with site environmental, health, safety, and loss control systems, identifying and mitigating potential hazards to maintain a safe working environment. Manage operations safely, productively, and cost-efficiently while adhering to policies. Ensure team members are adequately trained for their roles. Promote continuous learning and integrate improvement principles into processes. Effectively communicate with team members to ensure alignment on goals, tasks, and safety procedures. Maintain strong communication with other departments across the site to coordinate activities and resolve issues. Other duties as assigned and required.

 

 

Qualifications:

Minimum of three 3 years in a supervisory or lead role, preferably in a mining or industrial setting. Minimum 5 years experience in surface operations and road maintenance. Strong understanding of safety and environmental management with a proven track record. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong leadership and accountability skills with a focus on results. Demonstrated commitment to fostering a culture of safety and accountability. Proven track record of identifying and mitigating workplace hazards to ensure a safe working environment. Ability to adapt to fast-paced environments and changing priorities.
