Job Description

Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Structural Engineer to contribute to the design and development of modular steel buildings. This role offers the unique opportunity to work on groundbreaking projects from the pre-design phase through to fabrication and on-site installation. Reporting directly to the Director of Engineering, you will not only solve complex structural challenges but also help establish the design standards that will shape the future of modular building systems.

This is a highly rewarding position for those who enjoy solving complex engineering problems, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and driving projects from conception to completion.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Perform structural analysis and design for innovative steel modular structures.Develop robust steel connection designs and optimize them for modular construction.Create and maintain design spreadsheets to streamline calculations and improve efficiency.Conduct comprehensive structural code reviews to ensure compliance with local and national standards.Draft and revise structural plans and details using the latest software tools.Collaborate closely with design teams to integrate structural elements with architectural and MEP systems.Maintain consistent communication with on-site teams to address challenges and optimize the installation process.Perform weekly site visits to local projects, providing real-time feedback and ensuring construction quality aligns with design intent.

What You’ll Bring:

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Structural, Civil, or Architectural Engineering with a focus on structural design.Experience: Minimum of 5+ years in structural engineering, with a focus on the analysis and design of steel structures.Licensure: Professional Engineer (PE) license, with the capacity to acquire additional state licensures as needed.Technical Skills:Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD and Excel.Experience with structural analysis programs such as RISA-3D, ETABS, SAP2000, or similar.Familiarity with Revit is a plus but not required.Soft Skills:Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to problem-solving.Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with diverse teams and stakeholders.Ability to work independently, take initiative, and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
