Summary The Site Superintendent is the appointed subject matter expert (SME) responsible for ensuring execution of the specific technical task order(s) are being followed through with in the field ensuring the technical solutions and schedules in the task order are implemented in a timely manner. The Superintendent executes technical knowledge to solve complex problems that typically cannot be solved solely by referencing manufacturers’ manuals, similar documents, or the OEM technical support network. Responsibilities Must be on the job-site at all times during the performance of Contract work until the work is completed and accepted. Primarily responsible for managing subcontractors and coordinating day-to-day production and schedule adherence on the project. Required to attend Red Zone meetings, partnering meetings, and weekly quality control meetings. Must attend the Preconstruction Meeting. Must attend the Post Award Kickoff (PAK) Meeting. Must attend the Concept Design Workshop (CDW) Meeting. Must be capable of electronic document management (i.e., eCMS). Must effectively carry out required duties. Participate in the development of the Accident Prevention Plan (APP) including Activity Hazard Analyses (AHAs) and special plans, program and procedures associated with it. Must provide concurrence on and must sign the Accident Prevention Plan. Must sign Activity Hazard Analyses. Must work effectively with the QC Manager, SSHO, and Project Manager. Must hold joint responsibility for quality of work on the job. Must attend Preparatory Phase Meetings. Must attend Initial Phase Meetings. Must jointly represent the Contractor at the Final Acceptance Inspection. Qualifications Minimum of 10 years experience in construction with at least 5 years as a superintendent on projects similar in size and complexity.
