About the Role

WAIO Networks & Infrastructure are seeking an experienced Site Technology Support Supervisor to join our high performing team.

Reporting into the Superintendent Site Technology Support for Site Networks & Infrastructure WAIO, you will be responsible for supporting a team of OT/IT Specialists to provide high availability critical OT/IT systems crucial to delivering on BHP’s business objectives.

Accountabilities include but are not limited to:

Ongoing commitment to Zero Harm through Coaching Field Leadership, endorsement of quality Risk Assessments and Critical Control Verification. Demonstrate visible leadership through the understanding of material risks and on-site vigilance including hazard / event identification and investigations. Coaching team members in effective incident resolution using BHP principals and support models Developing and maintaining a strong focus on people development within BHP structures Team on BHPs business plan through adherence to yearly goals developed through regular 1:1’s routine engagements. Support effective customer engagements working collaboratively with Production, Mobile Equipment, Infrastructure Maintenance and Perth engineering Teams to support BHP’s business objectives Facilitate and participate in problem and Root Cause Analysis investigation for technology-based incidents. Assist with ongoing Project teams to provide projects that are sustainable meet BHP’s Requirements About You

The successful candidate will be self-motivated, committed to safety, have strong communication and interpersonal skills allowing you to build relationships and collaborate with multiple teams.

The ability to plan, organise and coordinate a team with a variety of tasks within a changing environment will be essential.

To be successful in progressing into this role the ability to demonstrate the following attributes would be favourable but not essential:

Trade/Tertiary qualification in Information Technology or Communications/Electronics/Industrial Electrical Demonstrated extensive leadership experience in a technology field Hold or in the process of obtaining a Statutory Position (S26) qualification. Able to demonstrate leadership through your regular core routines (Pre-start, Team Meetings, One-on-One's, Time in Field, Assigning work, Handover and Cross Team Meetings). Be a visible and proactive leader in your team's working environment. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with multiple customers and stakeholders. Create an environment where two-way feedback is invited, encouraged and people feel safe to do so. Remain open to new ideas, adaptable to change and ability to seek and understand any given scenario Ability to understand and manage risks within the workplace and out. Ability to problem-solve and support a sustainable resolution. Experience with Snow, 1SAP, Fiori and Standardised Work is desirable. Ability to work autonomously but know to escalate any given scenarios if required. Continuous drive for improvement and doing what is right.

 

Location and Roster
 

This is fly-in fly-out 8D6X roster role working at our Eastern Pilbara Operations which include Jimblebar and Newman Operations.

Our FIFO villages have a wide range of facilities, and all rooms have their own ensuite bathroom, television, refrigerator and air-conditioning to help you unwind, relax and sleep well.
