Live auditions for the Holiday in the Park Season will be held on October 10 from 7-10pm. Any applicant interested in attending the in-person audition should apply online and sign up for an audition time slot. Applicants can park in the Future Employee Parking Spots and must sign in and enter through the Security Station, where you will go through a metal detector. Once signed in, you will be escorted to the Audition Location by an Entertainment Employee. WHAT WE PROVIDE: This is an Entertainment Team Member position at Six Flags Over Texas in Arlington, TX. It features a competitive hourly rate with perks such as: free entry to any Six Flags Park for all employees and a Guest with each visit, complimentary tickets, discounts on merchandise, flexible scheduling, and weekly pay.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
· Entertain Guests of all ages and backgrounds by providing fun, one-of-a-kind experiences in the Park with high improvisational skill and energy!
· Perform as a Character Actor in a variety of assigned roles such as: Holiday-themed Face Characters (High Profile), Looney Tunes, DC Characters, Reindeer, Elves, and Emcees (Hosts).
· Every Character Actor will be leveraged for improvisational, scripted, and interactive moments, including, but not limited to: Meet & Greets, Dance Parties, Photo Ops, Restaurant and/or Attraction Hosting, Queue Line Entertainment, and Engagement as an Ambassador/Handler.
· Perform at onsite, as well as off-site locations and promotional events representing Six Flags.
· Maintain any Character standards as set forth by WB and/or DC Comics, if role requires.
· Comply with all company guidelines as listed in the Employee Handbook and departmental guidelines as listed in the Entertainment Handbook.
· Other duties as assigned.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
· Must be at least 16 years of age.
· Must be able to work well as a team and conduct yourself in a professional manner.
· Must have strong improvisational acting abilities.
· Must be able to actively engage and interact with Guests, as well as with other Cast Members.
· Prior experience in public performance/acting preferred.
· Prior Guest service/customer relations/public speaking experience preferred.
· Must meet standards (height/build/look) as set forth by WB/DC Comics, if role requires.
· Must be able to handle Character, costumes, and props with care, integrity, and confidentiality.
· Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, climb stairs, bend, stoop, reach, twist, sit, and lift up to 40 lbs. You may also be required to learn and perform basic dance combinations.
· Must be able to work in all weather conditions, even in costume, for extended periods of time.
· Must be able to work flexible hours, to include weekends, evenings, & holidays.
Please dress professionally to interview, including closed-toe shoes, but also be prepared to move – a lot. Auditions will consist of improvisational games and exercises to determine your suitability.
