Description:Employment with Saint Joseph Health System - Mishawaka.Join one other neonatologist and a crew of NNP's.  PRN neonatologists are available when needed.  24/7 Ob/Gyn laborist program in place; one Maternal Fetal Medicine physician on staff; one pediatric hospital on during the day.Full time.  7 on, 7 off schedule in place currently.  24 hour shifts.  Doctor is generally available on site during usual day time hours and available from home remainder of shift.Average census is 10; up from 3 a year ago.  Average births per year are 2,000.  Continued growth is expected.Level III NICU with 12 private beds.  Unit is pro-breast feeding; baby friendly.Philosophy is a hands off approach, intervention only when necessary. Familiarity with oscillator, nitric oxide, intubation, chest tube placements, lumbar puncture, ventilation management, invasive (ETT), non-invasive (BiPap/CPAP), exchange transfusions, paracentesis, and thoracentesis.Opportunities for teaching do exist with our FM residents and other staff.

Competitive salary range in line with MGMA standards.Malpractice paid by corporation, including tail insurance.Health/dental/vision/disability/life insurance/retirement benefits on first day.27 days off per year; 5 days and $3,000 for CME.$3,000 per year for professional journals, dues, and memberships.Relocation assistance provided in accordance with policy.Student loan assistance available.
