SkillBridge Industrial Security Intern (Transitioning Military) - TS/SCI Clearance Required

Are you a transitioning servicemember eligible for a SkillBridge program? Are you looking to continue your career in the Industrial Security field or break into the field? Then come aboard as AMERICAN SYSTEMS' next SkillBridge Security Intern! This approx. six month SkillBridge Internship will give you invaluable training and experience in the Industrial Security career field as you transition to the civilian workforce!

Please note - our SkillBridge Industrial Security Internship is currently filled with our first class of interns! We will begin recruiting and hiring our next class of interns on or about December 2024/January 2025. As a SkillBridge Security Intern, you will:

A week in the life of the SkillBridge Security Intern includes:

Administer and coordinate Department of Defense (DoD) and other industrial security programs to ensure compliance with government and company security policies and procedures. Review Security Pre-screens as well as e-APP and SF-86 Security packages for submission. Provide guidance and support to customers concerning all security administrative functions such as: Personnel Security, Information Security, Systems Security, Communications Security, Physical Security and ensure/establish compliance and standards. Provide administrative security support associated with the receipt, distribution, inventory, reproduction, and disposition of classified material. Administer and maintain physical security procedures for visitor control, employee identification, as well as safeguard company facilities, equipment, materials, and employee property. Develop and conduct security briefings and security education programs. Provide oversight for programs for the protection of classified information, as well as company propriety information. Prepare, send, and receive visitor certifications. Manage clearance eligibility for program employees. Ensure facility physical security measures. Conduct Security inspections. Assist the Facility Security Officer with DCSA Assessments.

Requirements:

REQUIRED: Candidates must be eligible to participate in a SkillBridge program. If you are unsure if you are eligible, please visit the SkillBridge website or speak with your Unit Commander or Transition Coordinator.  Must have 180 days of military service or fewer remaining prior to your date of discharge and have at least 180 continuous days of active military service (as defined by the DOD SkillBridge eligibility requirements) Must have approval from your unit commander to participate in a SkillBridge program (as defined by the DOD SkillBridge eligibility requirements) Top Secret/SCI Clearance required
