Raleigh Woodworks, a custom carpentry business located in the heart of Raleigh, NC, is looking for a full-time Skilled Cabinet Maker to join our talented team. This position offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative and creative environment, crafting high-quality, custom cabinetry and furniture. We specialize in various cabinet styles, drawer boxes, and cabinet doors, ensuring every piece meets our clients' specific needs and expectations.
Responsibilities:
+ Custom Cabinet Construction: Build custom cabinets in a variety of styles, including face-framed and frameless designs.
+ Component Fabrication: Construct all cabinet components in-house, including drawer boxes, cabinet faces, and doors.
+ Custom Solutions: Collaborate with the design team to interpret blueprints, sketches, and client specifications for custom cabinetry.
+ Tool and Equipment Maintenance: Operate and maintain a range of woodworking tools, including table saws, planers, routers, jointers, and edge-banding machines.
+ Team Collaboration: Work closely with designers, painters, and installers to ensure seamless project execution.
Qualifications:
+ Experience: Minimum 5 years of professional cabinet-making experience or equivalent.
+ Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of cabinet construction techniques, woodworking tools, and shop safety practices.
+ Skills:
+ Proficient in building face-framed and frameless cabinetry.
+ Ability to create custom doors, drawer boxes, and other components to precise specifications.
+ Strong grasp of door overlays and their specific construction requirements.
+ Knowledge of finishing processes and preparation for lacquer or stain application is a plus.
+ Blueprint Reading: Ability to interpret and build from technical drawings and project specifications.
+ Attention to Detail: Demonstrated ability to produce high-quality work with minimal supervision.
+ Problem-Solving: Capacity to troubleshoot design or construction challenges and provide creative solutions.
+ Physical Stamina: Ability to lift heavy materials, stand for long periods, and work in a shop environment.
Compensation and Benefits:
+ Starting pay based on skill level and experience.
+ Full-time position, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
