The Strategic Division (SD) supports high-reliability organizations including Navy Strategic Systems Programs (SSP), Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center, and the Department of Energy (DOE), among others. Our support across our client base is expanding rapidly and encompasses important services, such as data analytics and visualization, threat analysis, risk management, modeling and simulation, cost estimating, earned value management, program management, system engineering, independent evaluation, and High Consequence Event prevention.

 

SPA's Strategic Division's Strategic Development Group (SDG) supports critical U.S. government programs providing Systems Engineering support, Systems Safety support and Financial Analysis support. The position is in support of the U.S. Navy Strategic Systems Programs (SSP).

 

SPA has an immediate need for a mid-level Test and Evaluation (T&E) Engineer to support the Navy’s Sea-Launched Cruise Missile-Nuclear (SLCM-N) Program within SSP. The selected candidate will play a critical role in developing and executing the Test and Evaluation Master Plan (TEMP) while ensuring successful systems engineering, operational analysis, and program management efforts. This position will likely be based in Washington, D.C., but may also be supported from Cape Canaveral, FL, or Kings Bay, GA.

 

Washington DC Pay Tranparency Range: $95,000 - $120,000

Responsibilities

The Test and Evaluation Engineer will support the planning, coordination, and execution of test and evaluation activities for the SLCM-N program. This includes monitoring, tracking, and integrating prime contractor and subsystem progress, identifying potential risks, and developing mitigation strategies. A primary focus of this role will be the research and development of the TEMP to guide program test strategy. The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and efficient execution of program objectives, prepare technical reports, briefings, and presentations for senior Navy and DoD leadership, and support financial, schedule, and technical alignment across test and evaluation efforts. Additionally, they will participate in technical and program-wide meetings, providing analytical insights and addressing action items as needed.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

 

Active DoD SECRET security clearance.Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field.3+ years of engineering experience, with at least 1 year of T&E experience.Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.Experience preparing and delivering briefings to senior/executive leadership.

Desired Qualifications: 

 

Active DoD TOP SECRET security clearance.Demonstrated ability to take initiative and drive tasks to completion.Experience supporting ACAT 1D programs or other large-scale defense projects.Experience with Developmental Test & Evaluation (DT&E) and/or Operational Test & Evaluation (OT&E).
