The Strategic Division (SD) supports high-reliability organizations including Navy Strategic Systems Programs (SSP), Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center, and the Department of Energy (DOE), among others. Our support across our client base is expanding rapidly and encompasses important services, such as data analytics and visualization, threat analysis, risk management, modeling and simulation, cost estimating, earned value management, program management, system engineering, independent evaluation, and High Consequence Event prevention.
SPA's Strategic Division's Strategic Development Group (SDG) supports critical U.S. government programs providing Systems Engineering support, Systems Safety support and Financial Analysis support. The position is in support of the U.S. Navy Strategic Systems Programs (SSP).
SPA has an immediate need for a Senior Test and Evaluation (T&E) Engineer to support the Navy’s Sea-Launched Cruise Missile-Nuclear (SLCM-N) Program within SSP. This position will serve as the lead support to the government SLCM-N Test & Evaluation (T&E) Branch, overseeing a team responsible for planning, coordination, and execution of T&E activities. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, systems engineering, and program management expertise, ensuring effective integration of contractor efforts, risk management, and test planning. This position will likely be based in Washington, D.C., but may also be supported from Cape Canaveral, FL, or Kings Bay, GA.
Washington DC Pay Transparency Range: $145,000 - $180,000
ResponsibilitiesThe Senior T&E Engineer will lead a team providing direct support to the government SLCM-N Test & Evaluation Branch, overseeing the planning, execution, and integration of T&E activities. This role involves monitoring, tracking, and assessing prime contractor and subsystem progress, identifying risks, and developing mitigation strategies. The candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive program objectives and ensure alignment between test, engineering, and programmatic efforts. Additionally, they will be responsible for preparing high-level briefings, reports, and presentations for Navy leadership, as well as providing expert analysis and recommendations during technical and program-wide meetings.
QualificationsRequired Qualifications:
Active DoD SECRET security clearance.Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field.8-10+ years of engineering experience, with at least 3 years of DoD T&E experience.Experience with Developmental Test, Evaluation, and Assessments (DTE&A).Demonstrated ability to lead small teams in a T&E or engineering environment.
Desired Qualifications:
Experience developing Test and Evaluation Master Plans (TEMPs).3+ years of Developmental T&E and/or Operational T&E experience.Experience with DoD Weapon System T&E.Active DoD TOP SECRET security clearance.Experience supporting ACAT 1D programs or other large-scale defense projects.
