Carlisle Weatherproofing Technologies (CWT) is a leading building envelope solution supplier that effectively drives energy efficiency and sustainability in commercial and residential applications. We are seeking a Slitter Operator in our Petrolia, Ontario Plant.
In this role, you will be a unionized employee as part of our production team. As a Slitter Operator you will be required learn, understand and put into practice all of our policies and procedures to help manufacture the highest quality products in a fast passed manufacturing environment. You will routinely perform your duties with minimal supervision, independently and in a team with another operator. You must be able to work in an environment with many distractions, maintaining a high level of accuracy and safety, while performing your duties.
Duties and Responsibilities
-Operate slitting/packaging cell to cut, package and label various rolled roofing products
- Provide support to maintenance team members to help troubleshooting machine issue, and making improvements (optimization), within the department
- Demonstrate a sense of urgency in achieving results
- Perform daily walk around of your work area to ensure guards and safety devices are in place
- Perform checks on safety equipment and record results as part of an ongoing safety program
- Perform checks to validate the acceptability of product packaging and product counts
- Perform other duties as required
