Job Description

ROLE OVERVIEW
Operate slitting equipment to produce high-quality products that meet customer specifications. Maintain a safe, organized work environment while adhering to safety and quality systems.

WHAT YOU GET TO DO

Set up, operate, and maintain slitting machines to meet quality and productivity standards.Inspect products, ensure they meet customer specifications, and maintain accurate documentation.Perform and record required testing, print/apply labels, and post production data.Perform packing, material handling, and core-cutting tasks.Operate the Doctor Machine and support team communication with management and maintenance.Follow safety rules, maintain housekeeping standards, and adapt to changes and new tasks.Contribute to continuous improvement and teamwork initiatives.

WHAT WE WANT FROM YOU

Two years of slitting experience preferred.Mechanical aptitude and proficiency with rulers, gauges, and calipers.Effective communication skills, teamwork abilities, and self-reliance for independent decision-making.Forklift certification or willingness to obtain it.Proficiency with computers and a willingness to learn additional programs.Visual acuity to identify imperfections and deviations from specifications.Knowledge of safety precautions and ability to operate tools and equipment safely.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Lift cartons up to 50 lbs and assist with lifting 90+ lbs shaft/core combinations using a hoist system.Stand for extended periods and perform tasks like climbing, crouching, and reaching.
