Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Work from established procedures, written and/or verbal instructions.Must learn and be able to perform the duties of packers, core cutter, box maker, rewinders, threaders, and hand packers.Operate and make adjustments to shrink wrap machines, ensuring proper flow of materials.Set-up shrink wrap to seal various product put-ups.Keep shrink wrapper supplied with film, labels, etc. Ensure that the proper labels are being used.Perform minor repairs and maintenance to the shrink wrapper and associated equipment, including the in feed conveyor.Keep packer supplied with packaging materials.Remove defective rolls before and after they are shrink-wrapped.Help crewmembers with their duties, including stamping, labeling and making boxes and helping with drum change.Rework defective product as time permits.Follow safety, GMP and company rules and regulationsNotify supervisor of any quality or maintenance problems. Maintain necessary records.Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.Perform other duties as required or directed. Qualifications

QUALIFCATIONS:

High School Diploma or GED PreferredPrevious manufacturing experience preferredMust have excellent attendanceMaintain a safe work environmentMust be able to work overtime as requiredMust be able to perform all duties in a safe and effective manner.Ability to read and write.
