Location: Pala, CA

Responsible for all slot operations staff that you supervise. Monitor all aspects of staff performance especially as it impacts interaction with guests and gaming regulatory compliance. Understands the philosophy of the organization as set down by the administrators and works effectively within. Administers department policies and evaluates standards of performance. Maintains clear and open communications upward, downward and laterally. Act in relation to team members, guests and/or public in a manner consistent with the best interest of the organization. Functions as the Slot Shift Manager when required.

Must have thorough understanding of the Pala Gaming Commission pertaining to slot operation. The ability to understand and comply with all departmental and company rules and regulations, policies and procedures. Ability to maintain effective working relationships with staff. Demonstrate the ability to counsel and develop subordinates in a fair, equal and favorable work environment. Ability to perform basic math. Ability to operate basic office equipment and two-way radio. Computer experience in Windows 2000, Windows NT to CDS Systems Interface. Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug-test. Excellent Guest Service skills Must be able to speak, read and write English

Maintain clear an open communications upward, downward and laterally. Evaluate operating procedures; recommend changes and implement-approved changes. Perform job functions of subordinates as necessary. Authorize jackpots and fills on the casino floor. Evaluate daily or weekly schedules; recommend changes and implement-approved changes. Maintain positive guest relations at all times. Maintain confidentiality of pertinent casino data and guests. Be knowledgeable about the Pala Casino’s services, features, attractions, promotions and special events to respond accurately to guest/team member’ inquiries. Be familiar with the CDS slot management system. Be completely knowledgeable about the basic functions of slot machines. Circulate throughout the casino; monitor the level of business activity and staffing requirements and report your findings to the Slot Shift Manager. Circulate throughout the casino, keeping conversations with co-workers and other team members to a minimum. Count down and secure change banks when required.
