ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The following and other duties may be assigned as necessary:
• Provide friendly, fast, and helpful customer service to all guests and team members.
• Directly supervises slot operations and monitors all related services affecting the department on an assigned shift.
• Approve all jackpot payoffs as required.
• Assist in all jackpots and fill request.
• Responsible for guest service related tasks in slots area.
• Make final decision on player disputes and support customer service programs.
• Interview, select and train new team members.
• Assign and apportion work to be done among team members.
• Plan work processes and determine effective techniques or processes to be used by team members in the course of business.
• Supervise and manage the work processes or procedures of team members.
• Conduct individual or group pre-shift meetings with team members and provide daily positive feedback.
• Understand and adhere to disciplinary policies including but not limited to counseling team members and the use of progressive discipline to modify poor performance.
• Address and manage complaints, grievances or concerns from team members.
• Effectively use, administer and manage rewards and recognition for front line team members.
• Review the performance, productivity and efficiency of team members including but not limited to periodic evaluations.
• Recommend or oppose the change in status of team members including but not limited to changes from full time to part time, promotions, and transfers.
• Provide for the safety of team members, including keeping areas clean and free of safety hazards, debris and litter and performing all job duties in a safe and responsible manner.
• Develop, maintain and manage training programs.
• Support, implement, administer and manage standards of excellence among team members.
• Make determinations regarding types of materials, supplies, or tools to be used.
• Supervise and manage attendance and time records of team members.
• Effectively manage departmental expenses.
• Effectively and efficiently manage labor costs and staffing objectives while achieving guest satisfaction.
• Protect and preserve assets of the company.
• Meet grooming and appearance requirements.
• Meet attendance guidelines.
• Administer evaluations, performance reviews and merit compensation within established guidelines.
• Maintains work schedules for assigned personnel.
• Ensure guest recognition and development are primary duties for all personnel.
• Ensure all areas are staffed and direct personnel throughout the casino.
• Serve as a witness to jackpot pay offs and perform jackpot pay outs $10,000 and above.
• Inspire and motivate team members to perform to their highest potential.
• Manages turnover and budget goals.
• Must adhere to regulatory, department and company policies.
• Perform all job duties in a safe and responsible manner.
• Perform other job related and compatible duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Four years of slot experience with two years of supervision preferred
• Strong proven leadership skills
• Must be proficient in Microsoft applications
• Proven communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work well with others, able to pro-actively interact with guests
• Ability to track departmental expenses, balance and justify expenses at end of month
• Strong project management and execution skills
• Strategic and analytical.
• Ability to earn and maintain TiPS certification
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents In English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to read and communicate verbally in English. Written communication skills in in English may also be required.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume and distance. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
Possess ability to operate an adding machine and have basic computer skills.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Employee must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state and local regulations.
