Qualifications:
+ Minimum Baccalaureate Degree
+ New York State Teaching Certificate- (TSHH) or (TSLD)
+ Speech Language Pathologist Licensed
Accountability:
+ Accountable to the Supervisor schools Speech Program, Coordinator and indirectly to the Executive Director.
Responsibilities:
+ Conduct 30 minute individual and group speech sessions per student IEP.
+ Manage schedule to maximize IEP compliance (i.e., see all students on caseload per schedule)
+ Attend meetings with parents, classroom teachers, and school district representatives
+ Write quarterly progress reports on progress toward IEP objectives
+ Write progress notes for case reviews and special meetings
+ Measure learning continuously and document on daily session notes
+ Complete PSI modules
+ Attend biweekly staff meetings
+ Work on special assignments with Program Coordinator (e.g., implementation assistive technology plans, working with augmentative communication systems and devices such as PECS)
+ Participates in, and when appropriate, conducts staff training and conference day agenda.
+ Maintain full caseload to meet state mandated productivity levels.
+ Assist with documentation audits as required.
+ Ensure that all documentation related to service delivery is compliant with regulations.
+ Assumes other responsibilities as assigned.
Physical Responsibilities:
+ Sitting, standing, bending, lifting, and moving intermittently during work hours
+ Must be able to cope with the mental and emotional stress of the position
+ Must possess sight and hearing senses, or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately so that the requirements of the position can be fully met
+ Must function independently, have personal integrity, be flexible and able to work effectively with other personnel
+ Must be in good general health and demonstrate emotional stability
