Role Description
Description And Requirements
The Mainframe Architect performs a lead role in assessing and analyzing capabilities, business and technical requirements, and customer business drivers. The Architect is required to have experience in defining and maintaining the structure of mainframe migration/conversion programs, to develop, as necessary, solution architecture and program definitions. In addition, the Architect determines customer environmental and personnel suitability, readiness to proceed, and provides best practice recommendations.
As an Architect you will provide guidance for migration and implementation approaches, strategy, integration, deployment, and adoption of best practices to ensure customer success. This role works along with the project team to provide excellent service for our clients.
Responsibilities
•Thought leadership with extensive knowledge in mainframe architecture, product solutions, and services.
•Performs complex analysis of customer projects based upon contractual requirements and delivery deadlines. Ensures the customer is prepared and ready for agreed start dates and that all environments are ready for project implementation.
•Provides valuable actionable guidance and defines success factors early in the delivery cycle to set up a successful customer conversion and value realization roadmap.
•Ensure success factors are reviewed and maintained periodically through the delivery lifecycle, and ensure they meet the performance, reliability, scalability, and availability standards.
•Development and maintenance of relationships with conversion code programmers via recurring status calls.
•Lead scope definition sessions with customer stakeholders and facilitate the documentation of technical requirements to define the solution architecture, enable the installation and conversion of identified mainframe systems / products.
