Description Katie Weigel with Robert Half Finance and Accounting is recruiting to fill a Small Company Controller role for a multi-entity business focused in property management and hospitality. The owners are seeking someone with QuickBooks experience to handle the full scope of accounting for their multiple entities. The ideal candidate will have experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, journal entries, preparing a financial and cash flow management experience. Day to day responsibilities include:
• Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Ensure timely and accurate reporting to management and stakeholders.
• Account Management: Oversee the general ledger, including reviewing and reconciling accounts. Ensure all transactions are recorded accurately and in a timely manner.
• Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the preparation and management of budgets and forecasts. Provide analysis on variances and financial performance.
• Audit and Compliance: Ensure compliance with accounting principles, company policies, and regulatory requirements. Prepare for and support internal and external audits.
• Payroll Management: Oversee payroll processing and ensure accuracy in employee compensation and benefits administration.
• Financial Analysis: Provide financial insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making. Analyze financial data to identify trends, issues, and opportunities.
• Process Improvement: Identify and implement improvements in accounting processes and systems to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
The ideal candidate will have a BS Degree in Accounting and at least 7 years of experience managing small business accounting. This position does not have any headcount reporting in at this time, it's a one person accounting show!

• Familiarity with Auditing processes
• Understanding of Budget Processes
• Ability to conduct Month End Close operations
• Competence in Balance Sheet Reconciliation
• Experience in Financial Statement Preparation
• Skills in performing Bank Reconciliations
• Proficiency in using Quickbooks Online
