Overview Join Sunroc as a Small Equipment Transport Driver! Sunroc is looking for a reliable driver to transport, deliver, and retrieve small construction equipment. You'll operate vehicles safely, perform inspections, and maintain delivery documents. Things You’ll Do + Transport, deliver and retrieve small construction equipment (skid steer, mini ex, small rollers, etc.) + Operate commercial or non-commercial vehicle in safe and efficient manner + Promote professionalism and excellent customer service attitude + Preform pre and post vehicle inspection. + Ensure all delivery documents are properly maintained during the workday and are available for inspection upon request by management or state traffic safety officers + Apply knowledge of driving and/or commercial driving skills in maneuvering at various speeds in difficult locations, heavy traffic, inclement weather, mountainous terrain or tight loading dock areas + Secure construction equipment and other equipment by means of chaining, strapping and blocking under the strict accordance of established procedures + Maintain open communication with managers and dispatch for delivery schedules + Observe safety rules and regulations at customer job sites and facilities + Report all accident involving driver or company equipment to manager + Promptly report any delays due to breakdowns, weather, traffic conditions or any other problem relating to timely pick-ups or delivery of equipment + Maintain flexibility in daily routine + Ensure proper paperwork and logs are maintained accurately Requirements + Class A CDL. + Clean driving record. + 1-year minimum experience driving with CDL. + Ability to sit for long periods of time. + Ability to lift 50 lbs without assistance. + Attention and commitment to safety.
