Small Gas Turbine (SGT) Mechanical Field Service Representative
**Snapshot of Your Day** **Join the Small Gas Turbine (SGT) Field Service Team as an SGT ControlsField Service Representative and get the great opportunity to travel extensivelyto customer sites across the United States and sometimes internationally! Asthe lead Controls FSR, you will have direct customer interaction, representingSiemens Energy. Your responsibilities will range from service outages to unitinstallation, site modifications, and problem-solving.** **How You Will Make an Impact** **·** **Maintain the highest level of a zero-harmculture in part by following and carrying out all company and customer EHSpolicies and programs.** **·** **Manage all tasks involved in equipmentinstallation and service inspections/outages on SGT 100-400 units, as well aspotential cross-training in related products.** **·** **Carry out and supervise Controls systemsmaintenance of Gas Turbines, including working on Energized equipment andloading software. Must have experience with various makes of Programmable LogicController (PLC) platforms. Ability to make minor and major software changes,including changes in both PLC’s and Human Machine Interface (HMI) systems. Mustbe able to perform loop checks, calibrations, and fix all field end devices.** **·** **Interact with different levels of customer andSiemens organizations to report progress, resolve issues, and identifypotential services to be offered based on customer needs.** **·** **Ability to resolve complex problems as requiredon machinery and ancillary systems. Coordinate with engineering in reportingand implementing changes as necessary to resolve issues. Maintain accuratebackup copies of all system software. Additionally, communicate progress,schedules, and open items with clients.** **·** **Travel for extended periods of time, bothdomestic and international (including travel to developing countries asassigned). Must carry a valid passport and pass both required background checksand required drug and alcohol testing.** **What You Bring** **·** **High School diploma or GED that can be verifiedis required.** **·** **5+ years of experience with Industrial orAeroderivative gas turbine controls systems equipment; Candidates with greaterexperience may be considered for a higher level position.** **·** **Ability to understand and interpret engineeringdrawings and technical documents is required.** **·** **Familiarity with control systems like SiemensPCS7, Allen Bradley, and others is preferred; Experience with auxiliary controlsystems such as Bently Nevada, Fire and Gas Control systems also a plus.** **·** **Strong oral and written communication skills;Ability to write detailed technical reports for engineering review and analysisis required.** **·** **Must have a valid driver’s license and possessor acquire a passport.** **All candidates must be authorized or able to acquireauthorization to work in the United States.** **About the Team** **Gas Services** **Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission powergeneration through service and decarbonization.
