Job Description:
The Smoothie Bar Operator position is responsible for greeting members, presenting the menu options, suggesting and creating smoothies, answering questions, and taking and placing orders.
Job Responsibilities:
Greets and communicates with all members in a courteous and prompt manner. Learns and presents smoothie menu to members and maintains working knowledge and understanding of all used ingredients. Must be knowledge of nutritional values of products and able to share and answers any questions from members. Creates and serves smoothies including cleaning and prepping vegetables, fruits and other foods. Operates POS system to process payments through member accounts. Maintains the beverage and smoothie stations, ensuring they are wiped down and free of dirty glassware. Preforms opening and/or closing duties, as required. Maintains a clean and safe dining and work area at all times according to State and Local food safety standards. Smiles and shows genuine interest in the members’ needs or questions and always attempts to accommodate any reasonable request. Communicates clearly and efficiently, receives information and feedback, and takes action based on observations and information received. Complies with departmental uniform and grooming standards. Works effectively as a team with all departmental employees. Works variety of shifts, as needed, to include nights, weekends and/or holidays. Complies with departmental and Club policies and procedures. Performs all other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications & Experience:
High School diploma or GED Minimum one year of customer service experience, a plus.
Critical Skills:
Ability to read, understand and follow verbal/written instructions. Ability to manage a diverse workload and prioritize in a fast-paced environment. Able to use tact and understanding when dealing with a variety of customer service problems, including stressful and highly emotional situations. Highly organized and able to handle multiple tasks and to deploy resources effectively. Willingness to provide exceptional service to members and desire to provide leadership to position the department to achieve the mission. Ability to understand verbal and written direction in English.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. Bending and stooping 80% of the workday. Sits and stands 95% of the workday.
