**Job Title: SMT Machine Operator**
**Job Description**
We are seeking a skilled SMT Machine Operator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for loading and calibrating SMT machines, ensuring accurate component placement, and performing post-reflow inspections. This role requires attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards in PCB assembly.
**Responsibilities**
+ Load SMT pick-and-place machine with components as outlined in provided documents.
+ Calibrate and align component pick-up locations.
+ Initiate Printed Circuit Board (PCB) assembly.
+ Report all assembly errors to the Lead and/or Supervisor.
+ Use a microscope to verify correct component placement and orientation.
+ Manually align components prior to reflow within approved guidelines.
+ Apply solder paste to PCBs using the MPM 100 or MPM 2500 printing equipment.
+ Bake populated PCBs using the reflow oven.
+ Perform post-reflow inspection and touch-up.
**Essential Skills**
+ Familiarity with loading, calibrating, and operating SMT machines (SMT pick-and-place machines for PCB assembly).
+ Ability to follow detailed processes for placing components as outlined in provided documents.
+ Experience using a microscope to verify correct component placement and orientation.
+ Soldering skills to manually realign components prior to reflow.
+ Experience applying solder paste to PCBs using the MPM 100 or MPM 2500 printing equipment.
+ IPC certification or familiarity with IPC standards like 610.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Experience with scanning and inspection techniques.
+ Knowledge of surface mount technology and component handling.
+ Strong attention to detail and quality assurance skills.

**Work Environment**
This is a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The dress code is manufacturing casual, with provided HME coat and glasses. Work hours are available in two shifts: first shift from 5:30 AM to 2:00 PM (Monday-Friday) and second shift from 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM (Monday-Friday).
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Carlsbad, California.
