Start your new career as an SMT Feeder with MAU at our client in Duluth, GA. As an SMT Feeder, you will operate and maintain pick-and-place equipment and other machinery, ensure high product quality, inspect circuit boards for defects, coordinate with team members, perform soldering, and conduct equipment maintenance while recording production data and troubleshooting issues. This is a direct-hire opportunity.
What We Offer: Competitive pay Second shift schedule: Monday to Friday | 3:20 PM – 11:50 PM Health benefits, including telehealth medical services Opportunity for advancement What We’re Looking For: Associate Degree or equivalent professional experience 1–2 years of experience in SMT feeder operations or clean manufacturing environments 1-2 years of experience in a PCB assembly environment Must be able to operate advanced Surface Mount Technology (SMT) placement machines Capable of identifying various types of electronic components Must be available for day shift training for up to 2 months Must be capable of lifting up to 50 pounds Strong troubleshooting skills What You’ll Do as an STM Feeder: Experience in operating and maintaining pick-and-place equipment, reflow ovens, screen printers, and solvent paste inspection equipment, ensuring accurate and efficient stenciling at high complexity levels Evaluate product quality during manufacturing, taking appropriate actions to resolve issues and enhance the quality of existing products while ensuring compliance with established procedures Inspect circuit boards for defects, such as missing components or incomplete insertions Take the initiative to set up equipment operations if you are the first to arrive Coordinate with other machine operators to streamline the overall PCB assembly process Perform soldering of PTH (Pin/Plated Through-Hole) components on initial articles for testing purposes Capable of identifying different electronic component types, including their values and polarities Able to obtain soldering certifications, with current certification preferred Conduct general maintenance on equipment as needed Exhibit attention to detail and strong collaboration skills Perform daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance on all SMT equipment Focus on improving SMT manufacturing process steps Collaborate with engineering on new product introductions and report issues that negatively impact the SMT process Work efficiently and cooperatively in a team environment Record production information, including production levels, machine downtime, and defects Make necessary programming adjustments and troubleshoot machinery and computers
