**Now Hiring: SMT Operator $20** **Job Description** We are seeking a skilled SMT Operator who will be responsible for operating SMD/THT machines and performing rework tasks. The successful candidate will be integral in ensuring the quality and efficiency of our production processes. **Responsibilities** + Load feeders, read part numbers, and operate the jet-printing machine as well as the reflow ovens. + Troubleshoot basic problems on each of the machines. + Examine reflow assembly, analyze solder quality issues, and adjust thermal profiles accordingly. + Perform setup, parts verification, and operate SMT equipment, with a basic understanding of IPC-610 standards. + Setup, maintain, and operate automated SMT assembly equipment, including jet printing, pick and place, reflow oven, and automated optical inspection (AOI). + Monitor and replenish electronic components onto feeders across multiple pick and place machines. + Collaborate with the Process Engineer to provide real-time data to improve processes and determine root causes of issues. + Perform in-process visual inspections and initiate first article processes for all electronic assemblies. + Responsible for the setup, maintenance, and operation of assigned production equipment using both automated and manual placement methods while meeting quality, efficiency, and productivity goals. **Essential Skills** + High School diploma or GED required; Electronics technical school graduate preferred. + 3+ years of hands-on experience with SMT assembly techniques, equipment, and processes preferred. + Basic understanding of computer science fundamentals. + Knowledge of electronics components, including polarity, part marking information, package size, and footprints on PCBs. + Ability to interpret and apply IPC-A-610 acceptability standards. + Ability to read, interpret, and work from verbal instructions and work instructions. + Strong written and oral communication skills. + Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Mechanical assembly skills. + Experience with hand and power tools. + Mechanical aptitude. + Ability to follow work instructions. **Why Work Here?** We offer challenging tasks and responsibilities in a successful team with a pleasant working atmosphere and the opportunity for personal and professional growth.
