Aerotek is seeking a talented SMT Operator at one of our defense clients in the west end! You will be tasked with operating and managing the SMT line, including running the electronic feeder, stripper, SMT stencil washer, and scanner. The role involves performing basic quality control on the SMT boards as they run through the machine. When the machine is down, responsibilities include setting up for the next line or tray counting.
ResponsibilitiesOperate and manage the SMT line, including electronic feeder, stripper, SMT stencil washer, and scanner.Perform basic quality control on SMT boards during machine operation.Set up for the next production line or count trays when the machine is down.Read and follow MES guides for SMT placement and procedure.Move, lift, and stand to load materials weighing up to 20 lbs into the feeder.Essential Skills1-2 years of experience as an SMT operator.Proficiency in assembly and surface-mount technology.Ability to solder and perform quality checks.1-2years of experience reading MES guides for SMT placement and procedures.Knowledge of tasks to perform during machine downtime, such as assembling other components, preparing for the next board, and planning based on SOPs.
