SMT & Through-Hole Process Engineer position requires a driven individual who will support all functions of the operation. Will work with bills of material, documentation and support quoting, quality, purchasing, planning and manufacturing. They will be evaluating, implementing and monitoring processes and operating systems for the SMT department. SMT Process Engineer will also oversee and guide SMT Operators/SMT Prep Technicians. Ability to program machines and trouble shoot programs to enhance yield.

Ability to assign cost analysis criteria to projects and determine potential cost savings on a project by project basis.
Must be able to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and demonstrate the ability to determine critical parameters and develop process controls.
Must be able to read and understand PCA assembly drawings and technical notes.
Evaluate, implement, and monitor SMT and Thru Hole processes
Monitors and improves efficiency, output, and safety of manufacturing processes
Communicate with supervisors and peers to resolve issues
Participate in company or special training classes with emphasis on employee improvement
Ensures work area is kept clean and safety rules are followed
Perform other reasonable duties as assigned
Lead the production of new products along with troubleshooting existing products on SMT and Through-hole sequences

Must be able to conduct preventative and routine maintenance for SMT equipment and Thru Hole Equipment
Must be able to operate SMT automatic assembly equipment: Screen Printer, SPI, Pick & Place, Reflow Oven, Wave Solder, and Selective Solder
Must be able to provide programming and technical support for SMT process equipment and ThruHole Equipment
Must be knowledgeable with various types of flux, solder alloys and pastes
