Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Snowflake Administrator to administer and maintain the Snowflake environment of one of our customers. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance, stability, security, and scalability of the Snowflake platform. This role involves configuration, monitoring, troubleshooting, and user support, while also ensuring compliance with industry’s best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Administer and maintain Snowflake data platform, including warehouses, databases, and schemas.
+ Perform configuration, and upgrades of Snowflake components.
+ Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize queries and workloads for efficiency.
+ Manage user roles, permissions, and authentication settings in Snowflake.
+ Implement and enforce best practices for data management, scheduling, and execution.
+ Provide technical support and training to end users, ensuring seamless query execution.
+ Collaborate with IT teams to integrate Snowflake with enterprise systems such as databases, cloud services, and data warehouses.
+ Perform regular system health checks, backups, and disaster recovery planning.
+ Maintain and enhance security policies, ensuring compliance with organizational standards.
+ Document configurations, processes, troubleshooting procedures, and best practices.
+ Attend to customer requests and provide timely responses and solutions within the defined Service Level Agreement (SLA).
+ Be available after hours and on weekends to perform upgrades and maintenance tasks without affecting business users.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
+ Advanced English skills.
+ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
+ 3+ years of hands-on experience as a Snowflake Administrator or a similar role.
+ Strong expertise in Snowflake administration, including upgrades, and maintenance.
+ Experience with Snowflake performance tuning and query optimization.
+ Proficiency in managing Snowflake roles, access control, and resource management.
+ Solid understanding of database systems (SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, etc.) and data integration.
+ Experience with scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or SQL for automation and optimization.
+ Familiarity with cloud environments (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and integrating Snowflake with cloud-based data sources.
+ Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues.
+ Excellent English and Spanish communication and collaboration skills to support end-users and work with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Snowflake SnowPro Certification.
+ Experience with ITIL-based service management frameworks.
+ Familiarity with API integration and Snowflake connectors.
+ Experience with enterprise reporting tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
+ Experience administering other enterprise analytic tools such as Alteryx.
