What You Will Do:

To inspect and layout finished doors, components and sub-assemblies in order to pack complete aluminum entrance packages.Remove door panels from storage rack, test and inspect for fit and function as required by check list. Remove and package doors and assemblies such as jambs, thresholds, inserts, hardware and screw packs and package in appropriate container according to prescribed methodsApply protective materials to insure safe shipment. Tape or wrap container as required and apply appropriate identification. Pack extrusions for shipment to finishing vendorsOpen and store incoming shipments of extrusionsPerform necessary handling requirements of the job and maintain a clean orderly work area.

What You Will Need To Succeed:

2+ years of experience in material distribution, inventory, supply chain, or manufacturing.Forklift experience required, forklift certification preferredDemonstrated computer experience in Microsoft Office applications and Material Resource Planning / Enterprise Resource Planning type systemsExcellent Customer Service Skills; display a professional ‘can do’ attitudeStrong organizational skills with close attention to detail and prioritizing multiple tasks along with meeting deadlinesConsistently demonstrate independent judgment and initiative; driven self-started dedicated to continuous process improvementDetail-oriented, accurate, dependable and willing to accept a wide variety of assignmentsKnowledge/Experience in Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement tools requiredExperience with MRP systems and processing inventory transactionsComfortable operating a forklift for moving inventoryStrong computer skills and ability to learn new software quicklyAbility to read, analyze and interpret inventory data and reportsGood verbal and written communication skillsStrong math skillsFollow all safety requirements and keep work area clean and orderly
