Job DescriptionOverview:
We are seeking a skilled SOC (Security Operations Center) Engineer with 1-2 years of experience to join our dynamic team. The SOC Engineer will play a crucial role in maintaining the security posture of our organization by monitoring and analyzing security events and incidents within our environment. This role requires a strong understanding of security operations, incident response, and threat detection methodologies.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor security event logs and alerts to identify security incidents.Perform initial analysis and triage of security events.Investigate and respond to security incidents based on established procedures.Utilize security tools and technologies to perform threat hunting and identify potential risks.Collaborate with other teams to resolve security issues and implement remediation plans.Document incidents, including details of the event and actions taken.Contribute to the development and improvement of SOC processes and procedures.Participate in on-call rotation and respond to security events outside of normal business hours when necessary.Qualifications1-2 years of experience working in a Security Operations Center (SOC) environment.Strong understanding of networking concepts and protocols.Familiarity with security technologies such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, endpoint detection and response (EDR), etc.Hands-on experience with security incident response and handling.Knowledge of common security threats, vulnerabilities, and attack vectors.Ability to analyze and interpret security event logs and alerts.Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Effective written and verbal communication skills.Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+,CompTIA CYSA+, GIAC GSEC) are a plus.Preferred Qualifications:
