SOC Analyst - Tier I
Maximus TCS (Technology and Consulting Services) Internal Job Profile Code: TCS056, T2, Band 5 The ideal candidate will have a basic understanding of cyber threats, information security, security monitoring, threat detection, incident response, and incident handling (NIST SP 800-61). Familiarity with conducting security monitoring in a SIEM, such as Splunk or similar tools, is essential. The candidate must also have knowledge of TCP/IP ports and protocols, IDS/IPS systems, and basic incident handling and response concepts.
Required Skills• Requires a BS degree and 2 years of relevant experience. Additional years of experience and cyber certifications may be considered in lieu of a degree.• Per contract requirements candidates must possess an active Top-Secret clearance with the ability to obtain TS/SCI.• Must have one of the following security certifications: CompTIA Security+, CEH, SANS Certification, or equivalent certification.
