General Summary:
Qualcomm's Silicon Validation team, part of the Snapdragon SoC hardware development organization, is responsible for the overall quality of SoC silicon. The validation team works closely with architects, designers, verification engineers, software engineers, and customers to solve the toughest issues spanning board design, SoC RTL, microcontroller firmware, OS/software, and process variation. We are currently seeking an experienced candidate for the position of SoC Debug Engineer.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, the candidate will support three critical roles:
1. Lead the debug and root-cause analysis of failures at the board, RTL, FW, and SW levels in both Pre-Si (FPGA prototyping) and Post-Si (ASIC) phases
2. Develop, implement, and validate hardware and software solutions to facilitate faster debug
3. Drive the improvement of methods and processes to reduce the occurrence of future failures
Minimum Qualifications:
5 to 8 years of experience in Pre-Si and Post-Silicon hardware bring-up, validation, and debugWorking knowledge of modern CPU and SoC architecturesFamiliarity with assembly code, Verilog, C, and various scripting languagesProficiency with lab equipment such as JTAG-based debug probes, logic analyzers, and oscilloscopesPreferred Qualifications:
Good knowledge of industry debug architectures such as ARM CoreSightStrong examples of continuous innovation and problem solvingHands-on experience with TCU, PVT, Fmax, Vmin test methodologyEducational Requirements:
Required: Bachelor's, Computer Engineering and/or Electrical Engineering
Preferred: Master's, Computer Engineering and/or Electrical Engineering
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, or related field and 4+ years of ASIC design, verification, validation, integration, or related work experience.OR
Master's degree in Science, Engineering, or related field and 3+ years of ASIC design, verification, validation, integration, or related work experience.
OR
PhD in Science, Engineering, or related field and 2+ years of ASIC design, verification, validation, integration, or related work experience.

Pay range and Other Compensation & Benefits:
$140,000.00 - $210,000.00The above pay scale reflects the broad, minimum to maximum, pay scale for this job code for the location for which it has been posted. Even more importantly, please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Qualcomm.
