DEPARTMENT: Recreation
REPORTS TO: Athletic Program Supervisor
SUPERVISES: Helps coordinate facilities and volunteers specific to the soccer program.
STATUS: Non-Exempt
SCHEDULE: Full Time – Up to 29 hours per week
FUNCTION:The person in this position will fill all soccer program needs and will assist with other programs as directed by their management. The Soccer Specialist will work a varied schedule based on the activities throughout the year. The nature of the task and responsibilities will change to some degree based upon the program they are assisting in; but their character and attitude must always promote the Christian faith and be in keeping with the Mission of The Salvation Army.
Responsibilities
Summary:
+ Supports the implementation and oversight of soccer programs taking place in conjunction with the Recreation Center. This could include monitoring the facilities, special events, classes, field trips and various programs (SK2, Summer Camps, Corps programs), leagues, and tournaments.
Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
+ A person of good character
+ Able to follow directions
+ Willing to work a variety of schedules as needed for programming
+ Must be able to read, write, and communicate clearly in English
+ Must be able to work well with others
+ If this person will be needed to drive as part of their responsibilities, then they will need to have a valid driver’s license and be able to pass a Salvation Army 12 passenger driving test.
