Social Cohesion Facilitator
IRC Hellas participates as a partner in the project “Helios+: “Integrated actions for the integration of third-country citizens into the labor market” in the Region of Attica with Pr. No. 271764/05.11.2024, Call Code: 01 Helios+ and Call Name Number of OPS Information System: 12914, , funded from the Ministry of Migration and Asylum (General Secretariat for Migration Policy – Special Service for the Coordination and Management of Migration and Home Affairs Programs – E.Y.SY.D. – M.E.Y.).
The 30-month project aims to support the integration of third country citizens, Beneficiaries of International Protection and Beneficiaries of Temporary Protection in Greece, through a holistic approach which embodies their access to education, the labor market, and vocational training. The Act will include actions such as enhancing and facilitating access to the labor market through career counseling, enhancing the beneficiaries’ ability to live independently through learning the Greek language, supporting beneficiaries during the integration process and promoting interaction with local communities and their autonomous access to social and public services, enhancing independent living through the provision of housing support, sensitization of host communities and stakeholders for the social and labor integration of beneficiaries.
SCOPE OF WORK: The Social Cohesion Facilitator of the center for Attica Region (based in Athens) will be part of a broad interdisciplinary team, responsible for assessing and managing the various needs of third-country citizens at the field level. They must work by providing a wide range of duties for the benefit of the beneficiaries and the local community, technically facilitating their interaction and peaceful coexistence. This includes organizing groups, interviews, and informational events with beneficiaries, designing and organizing social cohesion activities and events, etc.

RESPONSIBILITIES: 
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Contribute to all administrative and logistical aspects of the project;• Conduct market research;• Develop and strengthen the relationships of the project’s beneficiaries with the local community;• Coordinate and provide administrative support, including scheduling meetings, interviews, and group sessions, and maintaining agendas and minutes;• Contribute to the development of a work program in consultation with local authorities and relevant stakeholders;• Identify, monitor, and analyze issues affecting or highlighting the smooth coexistence of communities, in close collaboration with the Helios+ Center Manager;• Organize events and activities, including developing agendas, arranging speakers, and producing reports and summaries of the events;• Participate in regular team meetings and external meetings as requested;• Ensure relevant project data is accurately collected and updated on a weekly and monthly basis.• Maintain program files and database;• Other related duties as assigned by the Helios+ Center Manager;

REQUIREMENTS: • BA/BS Degree in Humanities, Social Sciences, Education or/and other related fields;• At least three (3) years of experience in a similar position, preferably in the humanitarian field;• Excellent knowledge of the Greek language, spoken and written;• Very good knowledge of English (B2);• Computer skills, in particular word processing, excel spreadsheets and internet services;• Excellent interpersonal, team and communication skills;• Ability to organize and prioritize workload using initiative;• Ability to work under pressure;PREFFERED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS• Master’s Degree in a relevant field (Education, International Development, Human Rights etc.);• Experience in community engagement activities and initiatives;• Ability to manage multiple tasks, with problem-solving skills;• Intercultural awareness and flexibility;
WORK ENVIRNOMENT: Working hours: in-person,  9:00-17:00,Travel and other requirements: Occasionally to other areas of IRC programs within AthensThe position is undertaken and fulfilled by IRC and is exclusively funded by third bodies with   predetermined duration to materialize a specific program.
