Social & Digital Media Marketing Specialist

Who you’ll be working with

Codal is seeking a highly motivated Social & Digital Media Marketing Specialist to drive brand awareness and lead generation through social & digital media strategies. You will operate in a fast-paced, agile environment on a small but impactful marketing team, reporting directly into the Director of Marketing. In this hands-on role, you will serve as a digital content and social media subject matter expert, working with the rest of the marketing to execute social strategies that help build branded content that is imaginative, creative, original, and fresh. Agency experience is a plus, and a passion for crafting engaging content is a must!

What you’ll be doing

Manage & Oversee Codal’s Social Media Channels: Take full ownership of Codal’s presence across all social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube and eventually Tik Tok. Proactively align Codal’s content strategy with platform-specific best practices and audience expectations. Content Strategy Development & Implementation: Develop, maintain, and implement social & digital media content strategies that align with overarching marketing KPIs. This includes planning, creating, and scheduling engaging social content tailored to each platform, with a focus on increasing brand visibility and engagement. Digital Media Ownership: Fully owning the development and promotion of Codal’s podcast, webinars, and other digital content.  Reporting: Develop reports and detailed strategic plans using analytical tools to increase social media effectiveness. Provide in-depth campaign reports that outline insights on social media engagement, key learnings, and track the overall performance for the organization. Content Creation & Innovation: Conduct ongoing research to drive effective creativity while staying ahead of best practices, social trends, and new innovations that will support Codal with demand generation through social media. Social Engagement: Monitor social media channels, initiate conversations with, and respond to engagements based on established brand guidelines and Codal’s messaging framework.  Proactive Improvement: Consistently identify new and unique analytical opportunities to improve Codal’s social media strategies.

What you’ll need to be successful (Requirements)

Bachelor's degree in marketing or an equivalent, relevant field 2-3 years of related experience in a B2B focused marketing environment Previous agency/consulting experience is preferred Familiar with marketing automation, sales tools, and analytics tools; such as Google Analytics, Salesforce, Hubspot, Asana, and SemRush Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills required The ability to work well under pressure, meet key deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously Proficiency in social media scheduling and distribution tools (e.g., Hubspot, Sprout Social, Hootsuite) is preferred Ability to excel in a deadline-driven environment. Ability to collaborate with team members on campaigns and proactively provide consistent suggestions to improve current processes. Ability to receive constructive feedback. Available to be onsite, in our Chicago office 3 days a week.
