Our Team:

You will be part of the Global Sustainability team at Opella, reporting to the Head of Sustainability – Social impact and Brand Activation. Our objective is to deliver our ambitious sustainability strategy founded on 2 pillars: Healthier Society, Healthier Planet. Find out more at Impact | Opella.

The Global Sustainability team is led by a CSO (Chief Sustainability Officer) who sits at the ExCo.

Main responsibilities:

The Global Sustainability team is looking for an experienced Social Impact Lead whose main responsibilities will be to provide deeply informed subject matter expertise in a fast-paced self-care environment to drive Opella’s social impact strategy. More specifically, the Social impact lead will :

Develop a comprehensive social impact strategy that aligns with the company's mission, values, and business objectives, and a roadmap of implementation, together with the Public Affairs and Brand teams.

Design and oversee social programs in close collaboration with the brand teams.

Provide expert advice, guidance, leadership, and coaching for the wider business on social impact that will enable our brands to develop actions to achieve our social impact goals and ambitions.

Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including NGOs and industry peers.

Establish metrics and evaluation methods to assess the impact of social initiatives. Prepare and present regular reports on program effectiveness and progress to senior leadership and other stakeholders. Work in close relation with the sustainability reporting lead for performance management purposes.

Work in close relationship with the sustainability communication lead to advocate and communicate social impact efforts.

About you

We believe that professionals with the following experience and skillsets are well-suited for this position:

Education

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Social Impact, Sustainability).

Advanced degree preferred.

Skills/Experience

Minimum of 8 years of experience in social impact & partnerships, preferably within the private sector, including knowledge of social impact framework and methodologies.

Deep knowledge of social impact and ideally in the environment of healthcare, and experience of rolling out and accelerating social impact strategies

Demonstrated success in developing and leading social impact programs and initiatives.

International experience and outlook, preferably experience from working in multiple countries

Communication

Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

Demonstrated experience working with international teams.

Proven ability to build and manage relationships with diverse stakeholders.

Impact oriented

A hands-on, can-do attitude combined with an ability to work strategically and seize opportunities.

Ability to work at pace and deliver key milestones.

Languages
