Social Impact & Marketing Manager – MMC UK (12-mth FTC)

We are seeking a talented individual to join our UK Marketing and Communications team at Marsh McLennan (MMC). This role will be based in London.  This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

Social Impact & Marketing Manager – MMC UK

This is 12 a month fixed term contract to cover a maternity leave, reporting to the UK MMC CMO and offers an opportunity to make a real impact by supporting and executing the social impact objectives of Marsh McLennan, one of the largest companies in the UK.

Key programmes will include: MMC Graduate Challenge, RFP/Tender process, Charity Partnerships, Multiverse Partnerships (redistribution of apprenticeship levy working with the MMC Learning teams), MMC Charity Partner (part of the Social Impact committee, regarding fundraising events), Regional Marketing and Comms programme (support to include social impact elements where relevant).

We will count on you to:

Oversee all Social Impact UK activities in collaboration with the Global Social Impact team, including volunteering and fundraising programmes, as well as UK charities.Deliver the local social impact strategy, focusing on the 'Communities' pillar, and meet KPIs and annual targets related to volunteering engagement and beneficiary reach.Monitor and manage budget allocations effectively.Manage UK social impact stakeholders across various seniority levels and business segments, including HR, the client proposition steering group and Colleague Resource Groups (CRGs).Maintain comprehensive procedures for charitable giving, working with internal stakeholders such as Audit, Compliance, and Governance teams to ensure thorough processes are adhered to.Collaborate with stakeholders to contribute to the Global Charitable Contributions Policy, leading the UK process.Closely monitor the impact of all programmes, ensuring they are on track to meet agreed global and local KPIs, and take action to address any concerns.Work with Regional M&C team and CoEs to develop creative campaigns for both internal and external purposes as required.Deliver end-to-end flagship education and community projects; where required, provide annual pro bono work for UK charitiesDeliver engaging and effective communications for various internal and external audiences, translating partnership impacts into compelling narratives. Produce high-level presentations to communicate business requests or updates to key stakeholders.

What you need to have: 

Significant number of years of experience in CSR, social impact, responsible business, or a related field and with relevant marketing and communication skills.Extensive experience in managing volunteering programmes and collaborating with delivery partners.Strong understanding of social value and the procurement act.Passionate leader with a genuine interest in societal issues, change, and solutions.Resilient, creative thinker with a proactive attitude, adept at navigating multiple deadlines and priorities.Ability to build and maintain strong relationships.
