Job Description: Join our Global Marketing Department as a Social Media and Communications Specialist! You'll help with various communication projects to grow our community and drive engagement. Reporting to the Senior Communications Manager, you'll assist with content creation and manage our social media presence.
Responsibilities:
Plan and create content for news releases, blog posts, social media, and more.Manage and monitor our brand's social media accounts.Handle requests, analytics, and billing for social media posts and ads.Support other staff with their social media accounts.Assist the Senior Communications Manager with additional tasks.Essential Skills:
2+ years of experience in communications (news releases, blogs, social media).Experience managing social media for an organization.Basic design skills using tools like Canva.Familiarity with paid social advertising on platforms like Meta and LinkedIn.Excellent writing skills for both medium and short-form content.Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in communications or a related field.Organized, detail-oriented, and proactive.Positive attitude and team player.Experience with researchers and the scientific community is a plus.Experience with short-form video production is a plus.Familiarity with tools like Brandwatch, Buffer, LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram.Work Environment:
Contract position for the full year of 2025.Hybrid role with in-office days on Tuesday and Wednesday.Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $27.00
